AFGHANISTAN TATTOO ARTIST

Young tattoo artist makes a living from his art in Afghanistan

Kabul (Afghanistan), May 24 (EFE/EPA).-(Camera: Samiullah Popal). Ahmad Fahim, 26, has been working as a tattoo artist in the Afghan capital for four years after moving to Afghanistan from Iran.

Ahmad Fahim earns 500 Afghans (just over $6 a day) from tattooing mainly men between the ages of 18 and 55.

And although some religious say that tattoos are prohibited within Islam, he affirms the opposite and makes it clear that although he could do this work abroad, he decided that the best place would be Afghanistan.
