Tokyo, Sep 20 (EFE/EPA).- Typhoon Nanmadol made landfall on Kyushu island before moving over the main island of Honshu as the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) called for strict vigilance as violent winds and heavy rain are hitting several areas. Nanmadol forced the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) on Saturday to activate for the first time the highest typhoon alert for one of the four main islands of the archipelago, an alert that is maintained by violent wind, torrential rainfall and high waves that the JMA considers to be unprecedented.
