Violence causes forced displacements in indigenous communities in southeast of Mexico

Chenalhó, Apr 25 (EFE). After three days besieged by armed and hooded men, around 240 families, nearly 700 individuals, from the municipalities of Pantelhó and Chenalhó, in the state of Chiapas, southeastern Mexico, fled their communities due to violence and death threats from organized crime hitmen, causing a new forced displacement of indigenous Tzotzil communities.
