Managua, Aug 14 (EFE).- Catholic believers in northwestern Nicaragua, along with curious onlookers, celebrated the traditional "GriterĂa Chiquita" on Monday. This popular religious festival commemorates a pilgrimage organised in 1947 by then Bishop Isidro Oviedo y Reyes. The pilgrimage was a plea to the Assumption of Mary to stop a violent eruption of the Cerro Negro volcano. (Camera: EFE).
