VAT hike in Russia causes price hike in fast-food restaurants

Moscow (Russia), Oct 6 (EFE/EPA) - (Camera: Maxim Shipenkov) Prices at fast food restaurant chains have risen in Russia as Value Added Tax (VAT) on hamburgers was increased to 20 percent from October 1.

The company "Vkusno I Tochka", formerly McDonald's, explained that they increased their prices by 10 percent.
