Unions and activists stage anti-government protest in Colombo

Colombo (Sri Lanka), Feb 21 (EFE/EPA).- (Camera: Chamila Karunarathne). Members of state unions and civil society activists staged an anti-government protest in Colombo on Wednesday.

They accuse the government of trying to privatize important state entities, such as electricity, telecommunications, railways, post office, insurance and banks, to meet the conditions of the International Monetary Fund loan.
