Uganda reusable sanitary napkin company seeks to “empower women and girls through business”

Kitengesa (Uganda), May 27 (EFE/EPA) - Annette Namale is a 39-year-old single mother of four children. She has been working at AFRIpad Uganda Limited since 2010 after her husband abandoned her and her children. Like her, some 150 people work in this sanitary napkin factory, where the salary varies according to the production of each employee, ranging from 145 to 170 euros.
