Trial for massacre of Ixil indigenous people in Guatemala rescheduled due to resignation of defense

Guatemala City, March 25 (EFE).- The trial for the massacre of 1,771 Ixil indigenous people, which occurred between 1982 and 1983 at the hands of the Guatemalan Army, was rescheduled this Monday after the resignation of the lawyers of former general Manuel Benedicto Lucas García, accused of genocide in this case.
