Transnational crime requires strengthened cooperation, say experts in Brazil

Rio de Janeiro, September 27 (EFE).- Security experts from Latin America and the European Union agreed on Friday on the need to strengthen global cooperation to combat transnational crime, during an event in the sector held in Rio de Janeiro.

"There is a new and perversed threat that can corrode the structure of countries in latin america: organized crime. While it is an issue addressed by the ministry of justice, the evaluation of transnational crimes, such as drug trafficking, illegal immigration and cyber crimes that directly threaten democracy and the rule of law."
