Tokyo, May 8 (EFE/EPA).- Toyota Motor, the Japanese auto giant, has posted a record net profit of 4.94 trillion yen for the fiscal year ending March 2024, up 101.7% from the previous year. The company also set new records with operating income up 96.4% to 5.32 trillion yen, the highest ever for a Japanese company.Despite these impressive figures, Toyota has forecast a 27.8% decline in net profit for the next fiscal year, as it awaits challenges including cost increases due to the weak yen.
