Torrijas, the typical Spanish Easter dessert

Madrid, March 21 (EFE).- (Camera: Juan Yagüe).- Torrijas, the Spanish typical dessert during Holy Week. This traditional sweet is made with bread, egg, lemon, cinnamon, sugar, and light frying in good oil.

Chef Gael Garate, from La Duquesita, offers us a unique variety that incorporates toasted cream in the finish which gives the torrija a 'Catalan' touch. As a finishing touch, their white chocolate crowned the sweet.
