Torrential rains cause flooding in northern part of Spain

Bera, May 20 (EFE).- During the night, torrential rain lashed several towns in the north of Navarre, including Bera and Arano, causing widespread flooding. According to provisional data from the State Meteorological Agency, this meteorological phenomenon meant a record daily accumulation of rainfall.

A total of 116 mm of rain fell on Saturday in Bera, a region severely impacted by the Zia stream's overflow. This amount of rain was the highest daily accumulation for the month of May in the last 43 years. (Camera: VILLAR LÓPEZ).
