Tokyo's Meiji Shrine garden enchants visitors with iris blossoms

Tokyo, Jun 13 (EFE/EPA).- The city of Tokyo is currently hosting a magnificent spectacle as approximately 5,000 irises have bloomed in the Lily Garden of the Meiji Shrine.

This vibrant display has turned the garden into a paradise for flower enthusiasts, attracting visitors from far and wide.

On Tuesday, amidst the bustling city, people were seen flocking to this serene spot to capture photographs of the stunning irises in full bloom. The floral extravaganza commenced after the onset of the rainy season on June 8, further enhancing the garden's appeal as one of the main attractions in the Japanese capital.

The Meiji Shrine, a revered Shinto shrine dedicated to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shōken, already holds its own popularity as a tourist destination. (Camera: KIMIMASA MAYAMA).
