Thousands of workers demonstrate in front of MAPA in defence of farm workers

Madrid, Apr 11 (EFE).- Some 5,000 workers, according to sources from the organisers, took part this Thursday in a rally promoted by the CCOO and UGT unions in front of the headquarters of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPA) to demand better working conditions for farm workers.

The event was attended by the general secretaries of UGT and UGT-FICA, Pepe Álvarez and Mariano Hoya, and those of CCOO and CCOO Industry, Unai Sordo and Garbiñe Espejo, respectively, who spoke on a stage in front of the MAPA.
