Thousands of Thais parade through streets of Bangkok for LGTBI Pride celebrations

Bangkok (Thailand), Jun 30 (EFE/EPA) - Thousands of Thais paraded through the streets of Bangkok on Sunday to celebrate the end of the LGTBI Pride events, for the first time, after the approval of the equal marriage law, which will come into force before the end of the year.

"I join the celebrations during this equality month because I believe in equal love. This June is different from previous years because in Thailand we have approved equal marriage," said Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin at X.

The president, waving a flag with the slogans "love, equality, peace" written on it, led one of the floats that traveled through the main avenues of the city among the events scheduled to commemorate the event.
