Thousands of Portuguese celebrate the anniversary of the Carnation Revolution

Lisbon (Portugal), April 25 (EFE).- Tens of thousands of people walked today along Liberty Avenue in Lisbon, one of the arteries of the Portuguese capital, to celebrate the anniversary of the Carnation Revolution and to defend a "fragile" democracy against the management of the socialist government and the advance of the extreme right.

TRANSLATION:

Leopoldina Almeida, on the health of Portuguese democracy: "Not very well, she's a little sick and that's why I think it's important to go out and continue celebrating April 25"

Rui Calado: "Portuguese democracy suffers from problems identical to those of European democracy. The extreme right-wing populist wave is a virus that attacks our democracies."
