Thousands of Kosovo Serbs protest to denounce discrimination by central government

Mitrovica, Feb 12 (EFE/EPA).- (Camera: Georgi Licovski) Thousands of Kosovo Serbs demonstrated on Monday in the divided city of Mitrovica to complain that they feel discriminated against by the central government and against the ban on the use of Serbia's currency, which they see as a threat to their existence.

The protesters carried Serbian flags and banners with inscriptions such as "This is occupation" and "Europe, open your eyes", and called for help from the UN and the United States.
