Third and final phase of restoration of "Adoration of Mystic Lamb" begins in Ghent

Ghent (Belgium), May 2 (EFE/EPA) - (Camera: Olivier Matthys) Members of the scrutiny team check the first visible original damage before transport of the enthroned panel of John the Baptist from the 15th century altarpiece known as the "Adoration of the Mystic Lamb" by the Flemish artist brothers Hubert and Jan van Eyck, as it begins its third and final phase of restoration at St Bavo's Cathedral in Ghent, Belgium.
