CORONAVIRUS THAILAND

Thailand to end all quarantine requirement for overseas travellers from June 1

Samut Prakan, May 30 (EFE/EPA).- Thailand is set to relax COVID-19 restrictions on 1 June 2022 by lifting all quarantine mandates on arrival for unvaccinated or partially vaccinated overseas travelers but only require a rapid antigen test and no COVID-19 test results for those who are fully vaccinated.

The move aims to attract visitors to visit the country in the effort to boost its tourism industry.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) expects the number of visitors will increase from 20,000 per month to 500,000 per month after the quarantine mandatory is canceled. (Camera: RUNGROJ YONGRIT).
