Bangkok, Jun 6 (EFE/EPA).- The Thai government has approved a series of visa-free entry programs, including visa exemptions for visitors from 93 countries, up from the previous 57 nations, that allow them to stay for 60 days, which is up from the earlier limit of 30 days, and extending longer stays for students, as well as reduced compulsory health insurance for retirees.The Thai government's move aims at boosting the country's tourism industry. Thailand has welcomed 14.9 million foreign visitors since January 2024 and has generated 709 billion baht ($US 19.4 billion), according to the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
