Bangkok, May 15 (EFE/EPA).- A joint operation between the Thai police and Taiwan's Ministry of Justice Investigation Bureau (MJIB) seized 14.8 kilograms of heroin with street value worth more than 100 million baht (US$2.7 million), according to Secretary-General of the Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB) Police Lieutenant General Phanurat Lukboon.The confiscated heroin was hidden in slushy machines before being smuggled to Taiwan following an investigation after arresting a Thai national who is part of an international drug trafficking syndicate.
