THAILAND ELECTIONS

Thai opposition negotiates coalition government after defeating pro-militaries

Bangkok (Thailand), May 15 (EFE/EPA).-(Camera: Rungroj Yongrit). With an important youth vote base, the reformist Move Forward party, whose objective is to modernize the country and reduce the power of the military, has surprised by rising, against all odds, as the clear winner of the general elections of the Sunday in Thailand.

The formation, heir to the outlawed Future Forward, managed to gain 151 deputies by receiving more than 10 million votes and surpassing the great favorite in these elections, Pheu Thai, linked to the former prime minister and exiled oligarch Taksin Shinawatra.
