Thai health authorities urge caution as Arcturus strain emerges

Bangkok, Apr 24 (EFE/EPA).- Thailand has been on high alert against the COVID-19 pandemic after health authorities confirmed that 52% of new COVID-19 infections in the country are from the Omicron XBB.1.16 subvariant, also known as Arcturus.

One person infected with this variant has died, prompting the public to wear masks to prevent the spread of the pandemic. (Camera: RUNGROJ YONGRIT).
