MEXICO MIGRATION CRISIS

Texas National Guard uses loudspeakers to deter migrants at Mexico-US border

Ciudad Juárez, May 31 (EFE).- The Texas National Guard launched a new strategy in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, on Friday to deter migrants from crossing the Rio Grande into the United States.

Using loudspeakers, agents urged migrants to apply for asylum at official border bridges rather than attempt to cross illegally. This approach comes despite Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador's assertions of a moderate stance by Texas authorities. (Camera: RAÚL MORALES).
