The Temple of Heaven: Beijing's architectural and historical jewel

Beijing, Oct 27 (EFE/EPA) - Tourists and locals are regular visitors to the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, one of the architectural and historical jewels of the Chinese capital.

This building complex, declared a UNESCO heritage site in 1998, preserves structures dating back to the first half of the 15th century, when they were built for ceremonies in honor of the heavens and nature.
