TEHRAN, May 15 (EFE/EPA).— The Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art opened an exhibition featuring works by Spanish artists including Pablo Picasso, Antoni Tàpies and Juan Genovés to reflect themes of war, repression and suffering amid tensions between Iran and the United States.

The exhibition, titled “Eleven Works by Spanish Modernist Painters", also includes pieces by American artist Robert Motherwell and forms part of a broader series of war-related cultural events in Tehran.

The showcase comes as Iran remains in a fragile truce following 39 days of bombardments linked to the recent conflict with the United States. (Camera: AYDIN SHAYEGAN).
