Taxi drivers block Cancun's hotel district in attempt to stop Uber operation

Cancun, Jan 23 (EFE).- In an attempt to stop the operation of the Uber platform in Cancun, a group of taxi drivers blocked the only two accesses that connect the hotel district with the international airport and the urban area on Monday.

The blockade that lasted about an hour was released peacefully by anti-riot groups from the National Guard, the Secretary of the Navy, the Mexican army, the Military Police and state Public Security. (Camera: LOURDES CRUZ).
