Taliban government says women are not on Doha agenda

Kabul (Afghanistan), Jun 29 (EFE/EPA) - The head of the delegation of the Taliban de facto government said Saturday that Afghanistan's internal issues, including women's rights such as education or free movement, are not part of the agenda of the Doha dialogue organized by the United Nations that begins tomorrow.

The delegation representing the Taliban in their first international meeting under this format will be headed by Zabiullah Mujahid, chief spokesman of the Kabul government, and representatives of the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Da Bank of Afghanistan (Central Bank).

According to the head of the Taliban's political office in Doha, Suhail Shaheen, in this meeting, whose agenda was negotiated between the UN and the fundamentalists for months, the discussions will be on the fight against narcotics and financial and banking sanctions.
