Colombo, Jun 26 (EFE/EPA).- Sri Lankan teachers protested in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on Wednesday over long-standing labour issues amid an economic crisis. Thousands of teachers and state principals gathered to march to the finance ministry, demanding resolution of pay disparities and other labour-related issues.The protesters demanded that the right to free education be guaranteed and that 6% of GDP be allocated to education.
