The spirit of the palenques revives in Panama with the Pollera Congo Festival-

Portobelo (Panama), Apr 13 (EFE) - Colorfully attired Panamanian Afro-descendants walked through the town of Portobelo, on Panama's Caribbean coast, this Saturday to the rhythm of drums in a feast that revived the spirit of the palenques or shelters of the African slaves who fled the slave regime during the Spanish colony.
