Spanish school of London celebrates 50th anniversary

London, Jul 6 (EFE).- (Camera: Clàudia Sacrest) Amid the hustle and bustle of the Portobello street antiques and clothing market, in west London, stands an old Dominican convent transformed into a Spanish public school that this year celebrates its 50th anniversary.

Founded in 1972, the Vicente Cañada Blanch Spanish Institute was initially located in the district of Greenwich, but the need to accommodate more courses meant that, after three years, Spanish families had a larger school in the bustling district of Notting Hill, in the west of the capital.
