Spanish man hospitalizes in Thailand, awaiting approval for transfer to Spain

Bangkok , Apr 19 (EFE).- The man from San Sebastian hospitalized on Friday in Bangkok is still admitted in the ICU of Samitivej Hospital in Bangkok, awaiting approval for transfer to Spain.

He was in critical condition due to necrotizing pancreatitis, and the Ministry of Defense continues to work towards granting his repatriation request to Spain as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the European Union, and Cooperation have informed, in a statement through the Basque Government Delegation, that the Spanish embassy in Thailand "has been in contact with the patient and his family from the very beginning." (Camera: JANA BERNAD).
