Spain’s Zaragoza braces for Ebro River bursting its banks

Zaragoza, Dec 12 (EFE).- The Zaragoza City Council instructed the Local Police on Sunday to evacuate homes in the lower part of the rural neighborhood of Alfocea, as a precaution for the extraordinary flooding of the Ebro, which was not expected to reach the capital of Aragon.

The mayor of Zaragoza, Jorge Azcón, assured that the fundamental thing is to foresee in advance the damages that may occur in farms or subway wastelands and to look for alternative accommodation for neighbors in residential areas. (Camera: JAVIER CEBOLLEDA).
