Spain's La Rioja launches application that acts as "guardian" of 200,000 pilgrims

Logroño, Jul 21 (EFE).- Spanish authorities presented a new function on the “Alertcops” mobile application called “Camino de Santiago Public Guardian”, which will allow approximately 200,000 pilgrims of the Jacobean Route who pass through the Spanish city of La Rioja every year, to share their location with a police center so that, in a emergency, police could assist and have access to their location.
