Spain’s Cordoba kicks off May Crosses festivities | Video

Cordoba, Apr 29 (EFE).- The winners of the May Crosses 2023 were announced on Saturday in the Spanish city of Cordoba. The coveted awards have gone to the Hermandad del Huerto, the neighbourhood association Cañero Nuevo and the association Alcázar Viejo. These organisations impressed the judges with their exceptional displays, which featured beautiful crosses decorated with flowers, lights and other ornaments.

The May Crosses festivities in Córdoba are a much-anticipated event held every year as part of the city's Festive May. This festival is the prelude to the world-famous Fiesta de los Patios, which attracts tourists from all over the world. At the Festival de Las Cruces de Mayo, local associations and brotherhoods compete to create the most impressive and creative displays, with the winners receiving recognition and praise from the community.
