Lisbon, May 12 (EFE) - (Camera: Carlota Ciudad) Spain and Portugal will recover "non-systematic" controls at land and air borders in the framework of cooperation to ensure security during World Youth Day to be held in August in Lisbon with the presence of Pope Francis.SOUNDBITES OF THE LUSO MINISTER OF INTERNAL ADMINISTRATION, JOSÉ LUIS CARNEIRO, AFTER MEETING WITH THE SPANISH HEAD OF INTERIOR, FERNANDO GRANDE-MARLASKA.Translation:"To ask for the support, to ask for the support of the Spanish authorities with regard to the preparation of the security conditions for World Youth Day.""One of these priorities has to do with the need to reinforce police cooperation throughout the common border area having as an objective the repositioning of non-systematic border controls, having as an objective to guarantee that the flows that will come by air and that will go to Spain, and therefore the first effort of cooperation in the regulation of flows in Spanish air border headquarters, and then the flows that will be made by road to Portugal, can be the object of police cooperation between the Portuguese police authorities and the Spanish police authorities guaranteeing the regulation and security of those same flows."
