Spain marks 86th anniversary of poet Federico García Lorca's execution

Granada, Aug 17 (EFE).- Spain marked Wednesday the 86th anniversary of the execution of Federico García Lorca, a Spanish poet and playwright who was killed by the Nationalist at the beginning of the Spanish Civil War in southern Spain.

Dozens of people took part in the ceremony held in the town of Alfacar, during which his popular songs and poems were remembered through the flamenco voice of singer Marina Heredia. (Camera: PEPE TORRES).
