Severe fires in Brazilian Pantanal amid historic drought

Pantanal, Brazil, Jun 26 (EFE).- Fires have covered the Pantanal in Brazil with smoke and ashes .

The Pantanal, the world's largest wetland, shared by Brazil, Paraguay and Bolivia, is suffering one of the worst droughts in its history.

Ongoing fires are causing significant environmental damage, covering the biome with a dense layer of smoke and ash. (Camera: WALLACE CARVALHO).
