Seventh Kazakhstan-Spain Business Council to be held in Astana

Astana (Kazakhstan), May 30 (EFE) - (Camera: Kulpash Konyrova) Spain is interested in expanding cooperation with Kazakhstan, particularly on the Trans-Caspian Transport Route, which would help prevent Russia's circumvention of Western sanctions, the Spanish Secretary of State for Trade, Xiana Margarida Méndez Bértolo, said today.

The Spanish government representative told EFE that one of the main directions of cooperation with Kazakhstan includes "strengthening the Trans-Caspian corridor, which is also an alternative route to avoid crossing Russian territory".
