G7 SUMMIT

Security arrangements for second day of G7 Summit

Bari (Italy), Jun 14 (EFE) - Pope Francis, the president of Argentina, Javier Milei, or the president of Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, are today some of the protagonists of the second day of the summit of leaders of the G7, the seven most industrialized democracies in the world, gathered in the Italian region of Apulia (south).

The meetings began at 9:30 local time (7:30 GMT), at the 'Borgo Egnazia' hotel, with a session dedicated to the topic of immigration.

The G7 -Germany, Canada, the United States, France, Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom- wants to open up to the world and to this end has invited some countries from the “global south”, such as the Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdogan or the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.
