MEXICO MIGRANTS

Sculpture made from rods from border wall honors migrants in northern Mexico

Ciudad Juárez (Mexico), Jul 8 (EFE).- In a workshop on the US-Mexico border, the artist Yorch builds a peculiar sculpture: a giant foot, two meters long, made with rods that the Border Patrol found hanging from the border wall on the US side.

The "Migrant Foot" seeks to create empathy for the tens of thousands of people who cross through Ciudad Juárez, a city on the border with the United States that has become one of the epicenters of the humanitarian crisis derived from the unprecedented migratory flow in recent years. SHOT LIST: METALWORKING WORKSHOP OF THE ARTIST JORGE ALEJANDRO PÉREZ MENDOZA, KNOWN AS YORCH, IN CIUDAD JUÁREZ, MEXICO.
