Scorching temperatures in Madrid trigger yellow alert

Madrid, Aug 6 (EFE).- The Community of Madrid experienced a yellow alert on Sunday as temperatures soared to 36 degrees Celsius (°C).

Starting from Monday, a southern airflow in the lower levels of the atmosphere will facilitate the influx of hot and dry air from the African continent in the southern part of the peninsula, leading to a further rise in temperatures across most regions, except the Mediterranean area, where temperatures are expected to drop.
