Scientists discover how the first line of defense against skin cancer works

Barcelona (Spain), Jan 11 (EFE) .- Researchers at the Barcelona Center for Genomic Regulation (CRG) have discovered the molecular mechanisms that support the body's natural defenses against the development of skin cancer.

The discovery, published this Tuesday in the journal Cell Reports, offers, according to the researchers, new clues about the behavior of skin cancer at the cellular level and paves the way for possible new therapeutic targets to treat the disease.
