Sant Joan festivities attract 28,000 people to Spanish town of Ciutadella

Ciutadella de Menorca, Jun 23 (EFE).- Around 28,000 people filled the Plaza des Born in Ciutadella to attend the first big event of the Sant Joan festivities, the 'Caragol des Born'. This event marks the start of the annual celebrations in Spain.

The 104 riders taking part in the first day of the parade took just over forty-five minutes to complete the traditional three laps of the square. The parade was one of the highlights of the festivities and attracted a large crowd. (Camera: DAVID ARQUIMBAU SINTES).
