El Salvador court places 5 rural community leaders in house arrest

San Salvador, Aug 23 (EFE).- A court in El Salvador ruled on Wednesday to place five rural community leaders and environmentalists, who are currently detained and face legal proceedings for allegedly committing a murder in the context of the Salvadoran civil war (1980-1992), under house arrest.
