Russia marks 210th anniversary of Borodino battle

Borodino, Sep 4 (EFE/EPA).- People took part on Sunday in a reenactment of the Battle of Borodino, which took place in 1812 between Imperial Russian and Napoleonic troops.

The large and bloody single-day Battle of Borodino between the Imperial Russian Army and Napoleon's Army on Sep. 7, 1812, resulted in the retreat of the Russian army and the occupation of Moscow by Napoleon. (Camera: MAXIM SHIPENKOV).
