Ruble suffers biggest drop in a year against dollar and euro | Video

St. Petersburg (Russia), Mar 6 (EFE/EPA) - (Camera: Anatoli Maltsev) The Russian currency, the ruble, fell on Thursday to the levels of April 2022 in relation to the stock exchange quotation of the dollar and the euro.

On the Moscow Stock Exchange the national currency was quoted at noon on Thursday at 88.09 rubles per euro, exceeding that mark for the first time since April 14 last year.

In addition, at the same time on the Moscow trading floor 80.76 rubles were being paid for each US dollar.

The dollar had not exceeded 80 rubles also since a year ago, when the Russian military intervention in Ukraine began.
