Richard Serra, a "fundamental" artist for Guggenheim Museum Bilbao

Bilbao, Mar 27 (EFE) - (Camera: Jon Garai) The American sculptor Richard Serra, who died on Tuesday in New York at the age of 85, revolutionised the world of sculpture with his monumental pieces in the minimalist style that made him one of the fundamental artists of the 20th century and earned him the nickname of the 'poet of steel'. He was distinguished in 2010 with the Prince of Asturias Award for the Arts.
