Restored statue of Apollo returns to garden of Palace of Versailles

Versailles (France), Feb 15 (EFE/EPA) - (Camera: Teresa Suarez) The sculptural fountain "Apollo in his chariot" is returned to its basin following the end of restoration work at the Palace of Versailles after 100 years without being restored.

The group of statues symbolising the Greek god was created by the French sculptor Jean-Baptiste Tuby between 1668 and 1671 and placed in the gardens of the Palace of Versailles designed by André Le Notre.
