Rescue operations underway after plane carrying 19 people crashes in Nepal

Kathmandu, Jul 24 (EFE/EPA).- Rescue operations on Wednesday were underway at the site of a plane crash at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu.

According to a statement by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), a Saurya Airlines aircraft heading from Kathmandu to the resort town of Pokhara and carrying 19 people crashed during take off at Tribhuvan International Airport.

The bodies of 18 people were recovered while one injured person was taken to hospital. (Camera: NARENDRA SHRESTHA).
